Land of the Sunset Bird (not the actual name of this playground but once the kids nicknamed it there was no going back).

This adventure playground has plenty on offer, it's a huge space with stepping stones, a sandpit with a skeleton to dig up, two flying foxes, a big slide on a mound, a fort, water play and much more. Our favourite part is the little critters hidden everywhere, little sculptures and some real bugs preserved behind plastic. We also LOVE this spot for sunset, it's gorgeous.

The playground is right on a lake that is unfenced so keep an eye out. The lake also has a path along it so it's nice for a walk or little bike ride.

There is some shade but not over the equipment. Toilets nearby. Free parking. BBQ on site.

Harpley Estate Playground is on Black Forest Road in Wyndam Vale, right beside the sports ground. It's a bit further out than most of the playgrounds we go to but it's a good one to visit if you're going to the Werribee Open Range Zoo.
