Cabaret has come to the gorgeous Athaneaum Theatre in Melbourne for four weeks only!
This musical makes for a fantastic night out but definitely one to find a babysitter for. For those not familiar with the story, it tells the tale of an American writer who arrives in Berlin just before World War Two. There are love stories of all types, high energy dance numbers, a charming set and so much humour in the dark storyline. I noticed some kids there but there are plenty of sexual references and a story that covers the rise of Nazi Germany so I think it's probably not for most youngsters.
I went with a friend and we both loved the performance. The cast is amazing!
The Atheneaum Theatre is on Collins St in the heart of the city. Easy to get to using public transport or there is a carpark close by in Lt Collins St ($10 flat rate on Saturday night.)
