Mini got to give Archery a shot today and loved getting her Merida on! The quick but skills intensive lesson gave newcomers a great little introduction into this sport from dedicated and passionate archers. The lessons were carried out by the Southern Cross Archery Club in Braybrook which has been operating for well over 50 years. While they were very good with helping six year old Mini they did mention ten is a great age to start as archery is a sport that requires a lot of patience.
The club welcomes new members and a trial 90 minute class is $20. Many other archery clubs operate across Melbourne and regional Victoria and offer similar introductory sessions.
Southern Cross Archery Club operates from Pennell Reserve in Braybrook, on the corner of Cranwell Street and Butler Street (Behind Masters).
