Leapfrog Park opened today in Point Cook. It's the latest in a trend of animal themed playgrounds, this one with a giant frog in the middle.
This is a fairly small playground compared to other housing estate playgrounds we have visited. There are three swings, two small slides, three in ground trampolines, some climbing ropes and some rockers. The frog is made as a cubby, it's hollow with a bench inside.
There is no shade over the equipment and no waterplay so not a playground for a hot day. This playground is down the road from the crocodile park though, where there is plenty of waterplay, so you could do them both in one trip.
Beside the playground are some tables and a bbq in an undercover area. Street parking available. I'm pretty sure there were no toilets there, it was VERY busy at the launch event though so I may be wrong.
Leapfrog Park is located in Point Cook on the corner of Point Cook Rd and Saltwater Blvd.
