The Dinosaurs are taking over all three Zoos for 100 days! We visited Zoorassic at Werribee Zoo today and it was great. Twelve life sized moving dinosaurs roar at you along a fully accessible path and there is a dino dig for the kids to discover some fossils too.

Entry is included with your zoo admission. Last entry to Zoorassic is 4.00pm each day.

Werribee Zoo has just launched a brand new program to show off their beautiful residents after hours! Sunset Safari combines delicious African food, traditional music and dance and a safari bus trip when the animals are at their most active. It sure is a new way to see the zoo!

Sunset Safari is aimed at adults and hopes to get people considering the zoo as more than just a family destination but older kids would enjoy the night too.

We really enjoyed the food, an African buffet that caters well to Vegetarians and gluten free diners, and loved the chocolate fountain dessert.

The music and dance entertainment got the whole crowd involved and was the perfect warm up to the Safari ride which takes place when the animals are being fed and likely to be moving around more than you’ve ever seen before.

The evening was incredibly well run and transitions between activities were smooth. This is an accessible event with ramps and a wheelchair lift for the Safari bus.

Visit the Zoos Victoria website for more details and booking info.
