Free Archeological Tours of the Metro Tunnel site

Today we visited an archeological dig site where the new Town Hall Station is going to be. They have been finding all sorts of treasures like toys, coins, bottles and dozens of teeth under an old dentist's office! It was great talking to the archeologists working at the site who had plenty of stories about the buildings that were originally there (pre Maccas and KFC era 😄) and explained how they are going about excavating the area. The tours are run by Metro Tunnel , they go for about 45 minutes and are free. Kids are welcome and accessibility isn't an issue. The first round of tours have sold out but follow Metro Tunnel on Facebook or Instagram for details of upcoming events.

(Mena was happy to tick off another #RebelGirlsForReal for our Rebel Girls Challenge with a real life archeologist!)
