We were lucky to be a part of the opening of the awesome NGV Kids Summer Festival today, the kids and I had a wonderful time crafting it up and playing with those adorable sausage dogs!
From the NGV:
"This morning the National Gallery of Victoria kicked off its annual NGV Kids Summer Festival with a fashion parade featuring adorably attired dachshunds strutting their best fashion looks through the NGV’s Great Hall.
Inspired by NGV summer blockbusters David Hockney: Current and Viktor&Rolf: Fashion Artists, the Kids Summer Festival will celebrate David Hockney and Viktor & Rolf’s shared love of dogs, with a range of dog inspired craft activities includingdesigning vibrant and colourful three dimensional paper dogs with illustrator Alice Oehr and fashioning dog inspired paper creations with artist group Soft Stories.
Over the next 11 days, 16 - 26 January 2017, thousands of children will visit the NGV Kids Summer Festival to enjoy a dynamic program of FREE activities at NGV International and The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia. Highlights throughout the festival include: a dachshund fashion parade on Australia Day 26 January, masquerade mask making, kids yoga, magician performances and a host of creative workshops with local artists.
More than 22,000 children visited last year’s festival, which has become one of the largest and most popular events on the NGV calendar. Full program available on the NGV website."
